Our Story

We're glad you have found your way to Smith Family Sawmill and Tree Works.  We are a family owned and operated tree service offering a wide variety of services.  Currently all services are done by AJ Smith with the help of his beautiful wife Hannah and the assistance of their two sons Reid and Joel and two daughters Elliette and Naomi.  AJ began his tree work profession with Snyder Tree Service whom he still HIGHLY recommends for large jobs, and over the years grew to love assisting land owners in tree work.  But as the trees began to fall and beautiful wood was being processed into firewood AJ decided enough is enough.  So we purchased our Woodmizer LT15 in the summer of 2017 to begin turning beautiful logs into beautiful lumber.   We now, for the time being, no longer operate the sawmill and focus once again on the tree work side. We are thankful to have made different other local contacts to assist you with getting logs milled or supplying live edge or lumber products.
